ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a thermoplastic which is produced through industrial petroleum and is used by Lego Blocks. ABS is favoured as a 3D printing material for its toughness, strength, fatigue strength and its ability to withstand UV, heat and water conditions. ABS also has exceptional post processing abilities which makes it easier to sand and can be polished to provide a smooth, shiney surface.
